Hair Care Routine That Will Save Your Life

Bad hair day? We all have them. But did you know they can be avoided if you take a little extra care of your hair? I know that sometimes it feels as though having a good haircare regime means going to the Salon and spending a ton. But I am your budget-friendly mama, so these are all going to be DIYs! So loves, here are your 5 steps to flawless hair.

And remember, good haircare doesn’t come in a day so repeat the steps weekly or as mentioned.

1. Oiling


Yes, you have to oil your hair. Oil helps moisturize it from within and nourishes it more than any spa can. A lot of times we think it’s okay to skip the oiling process, but it really isn’t, especially if you live in a humid city, not oiling it will leave it dry and dirty. Get yourself some Coconut oil or jojoba oil or olive oil or almond oil! If you didn’t get my point: ANY oil is beneficial to your hair (not cooking oil though, don’t do that b). If you want to add a little extra moisture mix a tablespoon of milk with 2 of oil and massage your head for a good 5 – 15 minutes.

Time: Leave it overnight if possible (without the milk) or an hour (with the milk).

2. Hair Pack


Why buy expensive treatment packs when you can just DIY the perfect hair mask. I am sure you have seen lots on YouTube, but this one hair pack is my favorite.

All you need is a teaspoon of oil, avocado or banana, a tablespoon of mayonnaise and a teaspoon of honey. All these ingredients together, especially the mayonnaise, have a lot protein, this means strengthened and glossy hair.

Time: Leave it one for 30 minutes (Read to pass the time, here are a few great books).

3. Washing

Don’t skip washing your hair lovely ladies, and don’t wash it too much either. Washing it 2-3 days a week is good enough. However, there are ways that your hair can look more glamorous by washing it. If you condition – shampoo – condition again, your hair will be even more silky and shiny. My current favorite conditioner and shampoo combination is Tresemme Botanique. Try it out and watch the miracle of beautiful hair.

4. Rinsing

Every once a week rinse your hair with chamomile tea. Not only is the smell wonderful but it will also strengthen it. Rinsing with chamomile tea helps get rid of dandruff and has a brightening effect on the hair. It will leave your hair flawless and envy-worthy while it protects you from hair loss. This is a step you cannot skip if you are serious about getting amazing hair.

5. Post – wash Protection


This is the only one which is not free but totally worth it. Once you wash your hair don’t dry it with a towel or blow dry, rather use a cotton tee to dry it. Next, put on some serum, this helps maintain the shine. Finally, make sure you are not using too much heat on your hair since that can seriously damage it. If you live in a warm country with lots of sunlight remember to put on heat- protection every time you go out. The sunlight can dry it up too, so remember to carry a cap/hat with yourself too.

Extra:  Massage your head for 5 Р15 minutes every day, it helps with blood circulation and growth.
