Today we are going to discuss something very important. How we can work for getting our lives together. I know sometimes life does not follow the path you want it to follow, this demotivates you and makes you question everything. In such times it can be really easy to fall into depression and give up. One thing you need to remember is you cannot give up because if you do, you stop walking and get stuck in one place.
It can be really hard to get your life together when everything is falling apart. There are times a lot of bad things happen at once like losing your job, not understanding what you want in life, having a breakup, experiencing betrayal or maybe just losing your sight to dream on. In such times, you have to be strong and focused, you have to pick up your pieces and become the #Girlboss that you already are. But there are a few ways to help you get moving and I will be your fairy godmother and list them right here.
1. Reconnect with yourself and your life.
The first and foremost thing to do is literally re-examine what you want. What makes you happy? You need to know what brings you satisfaction. There are many ways to find out, one of the easiest ones that people tend to make a fun of is online quizzes. They are fun and I won’t say accurate, but a lot of them help remind you what you really like.
Read on different subjects, you might not know exactly what you want but you know will know something about it. No one is ever absolutely clueless. If you like writing- see some blogs, read some novels and WRITE. If you want a business, get some books on entrepreneurship or get a job in a start-up ( The reason I say startup is because they give you space to grow and you have to do a lot on your own.) Work your way around what you already know, and that way if it is not what you want it will push you towards looking into other places.
Tip: Remember to write things down. The more thoughts that crumble into your mind, the harder it will be for you to understand what you need. Put it on paper, make mind maps and write journals.
2. Find a support system.
You need someone else to help you get yourself together? How strange does that sound? Not strange at all actually. When we are going through a hard time in life it is hard to see clearly what we might have right in front of us. In those times we need a push and we need to be reminded of who we are. The best way to do so is to get a support system, get in touch with people who genuinely care about you.
Get rid of negative and toxic people and get together with people who make you happy and push you towards your dreams. Not much of a people person? Watch YouTubers and find influencers in your field, watch their videos. I personally adore Brendon Burchard, but there are so many great motivational speakers out there. READ! The world is full of knowledge, read about the lives of those who did what you want to do, it is like free mentorship (Except you need to buy the book). Keep your heart and options open, always.
3. Just do it.
Yes, as it is said by Nike. Just Do It. Get your life together no matter how hard it is, the only person who can really take you forward is you. You have to get up every morning, do some exercise and get straight into your day. Don’t be in bed and sob, that will take you nowhere. Experiment. Get out there. Try and volunteer if you can, that is a great way to reconnect with self. Remember, nothing is ever done by sitting around. You have to keep doing things until you realize what really makes you happy and makes you who you are. Don’t give up girl, you got this.
