Parties are the best things ever, however organizing a badass “girls only” party with limited time can be hard. Truth is parties can make or break your popularity, especially in high school. So, you need to make sure you are throwing the ultimate girls party when you do.
Since we love you, we are going to teach you exactly how to organize the ultimate girls party in a day. Stay with us.
1. Know EXACTLY What You Want:
The first step to party planning of any type is to know exactly what you are aiming for. Is this going to be something that’s fun and crazy? Or is this supposed to be a sophisticated dinner? Are you going to post a lot of SnapChat Stories? Or are you going to post aesthetic Instagram pictures? Whatever you choose must lead to the next point.
2. Have a theme
If you are going to throw a party and make it amazing, it has to have a theme. It doesn’t have to be a crazy black ties theme, could be something as simple as “wear a hat” and watch where that takes you. The theme will also help you know what kind of decorations to use, and let’s be real this is going on social media so how everything looks matters.
3. Create Your vibe
What vibe are you trying to create? Do you want to feel empowered, like “hell yeah we are badass girls” or are you just trying to have fun? Knowing the vibe you want is important and will help you stay focused. A lot of the times the vibe will be what your theme will be based on. Since this is the ultimate girls party, you need to make sure the vibe says “Girls rock.” Vibe also helps in the next, very crucial point.
4. Decide On Who To Invite
Your invite list will make the party great or not so great. Make sure you have an invite-only policy and mention that +1s need to be RSVPd beforehand. It’s important to know who is coming and how many people will be showing up, because that helps create a proper budget. If it’s just going to be around 10 of your girlfriends it won’t be as hard as organizing a party for 50 girls. You also don’t want girls bringing their boyfriends, or inviting someone you dislike. There’s nothing worse than throwing a party and hating someone in it.
5. Have A Budget
Don’t be crazy, everyone needs a budget. In party planning one of the most important parts is the actual “planning.” You need to know how much you can spend on this party; if you are in high school make sure you ask your parents how much they are willing to pitch in. You can also ask your best girlfriends to help with the money, or you can decide upon an entry “fee” personally, I don’t like entry fees, but if you don’t mind it – go right on.
6. Choose A Spot
Now that you know who is coming and how much you will be spending, decide on a spot. Since you are doing this with a day’s time, it’s important to note that you probably won’t be able to book a great venue, unless you are Blair Waldorf. Anyway, the best location in limited time is either your house, the park in your building or a friends house. Choose the location according to the number of people, if it’s just around 10 girls do it in a smaller house so that you guys can spend time together. If your invite list is over 30 girls, try choosing a bigger house or open space, you don’t want people clustered. Personally, I love home parties.
7. Start Buying Decoration And Putting It Up
Decorations are very important in any party, you need to have the vibe we previously mentioned. In the age of social media, everyone wants to go to parties where you can take tons of pictures. Throwing the ultimate girls party means everyone needs to have a bunch of fabulous uploadable pictures. If you are low on budget create your own decoratives, for instance you could make a fun frame using glitter and cardboard, you can make props with some nice paper, you could buy a curtain to give background, have a small table with a pretty cover, etc. You can find tons of decoration DIY videos on YouTube.
8. Order The Food And Drinks
Food is possibly the thing everyone waits for in a party. If you have the money get a few bottles of champagne and order sushi or kabab. If you are low on budget you can go a little crazy. Make mocktails instead of alcoholic drinks, my favorite is a pomegranate mocktail with pomegranate syrup, lemon, and a bit of ginger ale. You can also ask your friends to bring food from their houses, this would give such a large amount of variety and would make everything ten times more fun.
9. Have Activities Planned
It’s important to note that although you might be old, just dancing and talking can get boring. This is the ultimate girls party, you can have karaoke if you are in someone’s house. You can have a scavenger makeup hunt for the KKW contour set. You can even get a few good movies and enact them, get creative and stay with your theme.
This is by far the only thing that can surely keep the vibe of the party together. Make a playlist or go on one of those music apps to find the music that best fits your vibe. You might want to put on some slow music or you might be a crazy Spanish music fan (ME ME ME). Keep a good list of around 100 songs with you, no one likes people asking “AGH what song should I put” and very less do they like listening to the same song again and again. So, a list of songs will be your savior. Also, have a few good speakers available- I say a few because it’s a party and incidents happen, you might break a speaker so replacements are necessary.
11. Get A Camera
Now, since you are the organizer of this “ultimate girls party” you should think about the photos. A lot of people forget to take photos during parties and then they hate it, because how are they supposed to prove they were there? Ask around for the friends with the best cameras and get your girls to work shifts, pass the camera around and take pictures of everyone. The best part about a girls party is the fact that you can all work together and make this awesome.
12. Dress Up And Have Fun In Your “Ultimate Girls Party”
FINALLYYY! Your party is all put together, your girlfriends have arrived, food and music and everything is set. The only thing left for you to do is wear a sexy outfit and enjoy the masterpiece you have created. Know that you are still the one organizing the party so you will still have responsibilities, but other than that, go and live it out girl! It’s your night (or day). Have tons of fun.
I hope you can now have the best party ever, these steps are easy to follow and can be easily done in a day if it’s one person doing the work. If you are low on time get a few friends to help around. The main point is to have fun and remember that you love your girls.
