It’s an early morning and sun is beautifully risen, and you are still in bed. It’s time to make your morning as Queenlike as you are. We are here to help you stay motivated to workout. The minute you wake up make yourself as big as possible — I mean physically– stretch that body out. And tell yourself this: “Today is a great day!” Then add: “I will set some time for me and exercise.” It’s easy to say I know, trust me, but this will make you feel happier every single day.
Immediately. Intensely. Unequivocally.
Whether your routine is going to be a few minutes of meditation, a dancing class, a calming walk or an intense workout session. Creating time for your physical, emotional and mental well-being is extremely necessary. Today, in our culture, it might be acceptable to work 60 hours a week and scroll through your IG feed every 5 minutes, but taking care of yourself should be your first priority.
SO, here are 5 tips to cross all the excuses off from the list and help you find the motivation to work out and feel good on a daily:
1. Have A Well-Balanced Breakfast And Keep The Lunch Light
Having a fulfilling breakfast, which is not only for your belly but also for your soul, would make you feel more motivated and good about yourself all day long. That way your body will use its stored glycogen smartly; you will stay energized throughout the rest of the day and, definitely, you won’t get a food coma during lunch.
If you plan on hitting the gym after work, having a light meal at lunch such as a salad or a wholesome bowl is important. Try a meal that contains carbohydrate, fruit or vegetable, and protein. This will help you digest your food better and easier while keeping you awake to make it to the gym.
2. Take Advantage Of Technology
Your smartphone is everything you need to set your goals and stay motivated to workout. Create a to-do list, find some inspiration from Instagram, watch exercise videos to plan your workout routine or make a killer playlist. But, don’t forget to set a reminder first so that you cannot back out from exercising because you were so “busy” or you “forgot.”
3. Stay Motivated To Workout By Calling Up A Friend
Okay, girls, we all have that day when we think we deserve a drink or two (or five). It is totally FINE! Sometimes a cocktail is a perfect pick-me-up. However, a good exercise will always have an even better impact on your brain to help you manage fatigue and depression. Just give it a shot, and schedule a sweat session with your friends. You will be less likely to skip exercising, and it is always fun to workout with another Queen, am I right?
4. Track Your Progress, But Be Patient
There is no feeling like achieving your fitness goals and getting that perfect healthy life balance to help you stay motivated to workout. After having a workout routine, make sure you are tracking your goals, be it weight loss or gain or just wanting a healthy lifestyle. Plan your future goals and fitness schedules according to the results you see and the results you want. I know that it is hard when you go to the gym for months yet feel as if you’re getting nowhere. But relax, the change is gradual. Be patient, nothing happens overnight. If you are persistent enough, you will get there very soon!
5. Create Time To Relax & Recover
You need to “time-out” every now and again to relax and recover. Don’t push yourself to work out every single day. Take a day or two off to reset your body. Treat yourself, or have a cheat meal every once in a while. You can even take a relaxing bath, a mani-pedi session, or a sweet nap on a Sunday afternoon. Creating the time to unwind is as important as sweating out at the gym.
