Queens, we know summertime is almost over in Europe! We experienced the whole continent getting heatwaves and feeling those summer vibes. It is true! We are getting out of our caves and still looking to head to the beaches of the continent and there are a lot, more than you think. That’s why I listed some underrated beaches in Europe, you need to visit today.
1. Brighton – The UK’s Best When It’s Not Raining
Summer is everywhere, also in the UK. And why not take a train from London and get off in quirky and wild Brighton. Have a swim, eat some Fish and Chips and play some vintage arcade games in the lovely pier. Brighton is one of the freakiest towns in the UK and the beach is great fun, especially in summer. So, if you decide to take a trip to London in the Summer, make sure to check out Brighton. You will love it, girls!
2. Orange Sand And Blue Water In Ramla Bay – Malta
Gozo, Malta’s smaller, sister island in the north, is home to a lot of beautiful beaches and other hidden gems. It is known to be the Island of the nymph Calypso, that seduced Ulysses and held him on her island for about 2 years. Her cave happens to be right over the beautiful Rambla Bay. A beach with orange sand, the clearest water and a lot of green around it in the colder seasons. Now it is most enjoyable for tourists and I could not spot a nymph there so far. But you can tell why she chose that spot! It’s one of the most incredible beaches in Europe.
3. Playa de Migjorn – Beaches In Europe For Clear Water and Topless Tans
Take off that top if you dare ladies. Topless swimming is actually quite common in Spain and nobody cares. So, if you want to liberate yourselves from that bikini, this is the beach to go. But it has much more to offer than just the option to get a spotless tan. The Formentera region is famous for the pretty beaches with white sand and turquoise water. And this beach is one of the best. You can take a 3km walk and you are still on this amazing beach, or you just dive into the clear water. There is a lot to do here, the beach is full of quirky bars and restaurants and other activities as well.
4. Elafonisi – Carribean Feeling In Crete
The Greek Island of Crete is wonderful for many reasons but one for sure is the beaches you can find here. And Elalfonisi is one of the prettiest beaches in Europe. It is close to Chania and comes with the whitest sand I have seen in Europe, shallow water you can walk into a long time, protected Nature and more. No wonder it was a very attractive location for hippies a couple of decades ago. Although they are all mostly gone now, the beach is one of the prettiest to visit in Europe. Oh, and did I mention that parts of the sand on this beach are pink?
There are many more options than the ones we listed. And maybe we will give you a few more, have you ever visited Croatia for example? That country has some pretty beaches and if you like it more chilled and do not want to overheat, you might want to try out the beaches in the north of Germany or Poland. They are beautiful and have their own unique appeal to them, but they are chilly so you should bring a sweater.
Keep an open mind, and go explore this gorgeous and big world.
