Is the ICarly Reboot The Best Thing To Happen To The Internet World?
I know you see, that ICARLY IS BACK!!! And honestly, the ICarly reboot is everything we wanted and more. Ladies, we have to agree that as a society we maybe have something against reboots- usually a fear that originates from the idea that changes will make us hate the original version of a show we dearly loved. Yet, we cannot deny that this one show has been in anticipation for long and with quite a bit of excitement, and it is definitely living up to the expectations.
ICarly reboot might just be the best thing to happen to the internet.
And no, we aren’t exaggerating. For real, this show gives nostalgia a whole different meaning, and for some reason, the characters feel like they are right where we expected them to be when we were teenagers arguing about Creddie and Saddie. Okay, maybe not exactly, some of us hoped that we’d see a married Creddie, but hey as long as they are still making videos together and it might be on the horizon, we can live with it.
While the presence of Jennette is dearly missed, the show has definitely shown that it’s best to acknowledge an old favourite than ignore it. Giving a backstory to Sam helps us as viewers to be able to say goodbye too. And let’s be real, deep down we all knew that inventor and creative director Spencer would end up rich.

But nostalgia isn’t the only reason to watch this show or the reason helping it stand out. The thing is, the characters and the portrayal of the internet are just – SO RELATABLE! Ladies, we have all been a Carly, of course, likes on social media help us feel less empty, as she said, it’s scientifically proven to release dopamine. Yea, we know it’s not healthy, but hey, it’s kinda nice to know that a lot of people feel the same way. Moreover, looking at all of the characters in different stages of their life really helps ease us older GenZs who’ve been brought up with the internet and who feel worthless if we aren’t millionaires in perfectly healthy relationships by 22.
The truth is, the show hits the comical nail just right.

With only 3 episodes out, it definitely has us begging for more. The raw and real entertainment with dark and self-deprecating humor sits comfortably with most of the original audience that once watched ICarly as kids. The truth is, we feel it, we live it, and we are loving it. The artists part of the show have the kind of chemistry that really helps a show thrive, truly Miranda, Mary, Nathan, and Jerry are truly gifted. Also, little Jaidyn and Laci fit right in! Well, the casting directors definitely deserve a thumbs up, plus this new inclusive cast makes it worth every laughing minute.
Finally, the show is definitely a nice way to add positivity. It’s light and Miranda has the flair of an angel to make us feel like a better version of ourselves. All this and just 3 episodes? We are definitely excited to see more, not to mention the new characters we want to be further introduced to.
Come on Paramount, I know you see the world will change for us when you give us more episodes.
