I know that although we love to binge watch shows, we also love taking a good book and reading it. However, because of time constraints we always look for the best ones out there. Something that will really teach us something and make us look at life differently.
As always, I have your backs, here are three books that will take you through an emotional roller coaster. They will make you laugh, cry and think a lot. You will have a completely new, and definitely more positive perspective on not just your life but the life of all those that surround you. So read on.
Manuscript Found in Accra: Reading Priority
Paulo Coelho is the God of all things philosophical, he always knows the right thing to write and convey. Having read almost every single one of his books I can easily say that if you are looking for a fictional getaway you just need to order his collection. The Manuscript Found in Accra is a particularly interesting story. It takes place in 1099 Jerusalem and it’s about a group of people who are about to go to war. These people are gathered in a room and ask questions about life, love and more to the Copt- a mysterious Greek man. This novel is like a bible, once finished you can read it again and reread it but every time it will be a new experience. When life is not going the right way you can pick it up and read one of the wise answers- it’s philosophical guidance- in a book.
1. The Good Luck of Right Now
Written by Matthew Quick, I strongly feel that this book is very underrated. The Good Luck of Right Now follows the story of a 38-year old man who has forever lived with his mom. When his mother dies he has to find a new reason to live and has to rediscover his life. This book will teach you about grief, family, friends, the kindness in the world and obviously Richard Gere. If you want a completely different outlook on life, this is the book for you.
3. The Power of Your Subconscious Mind
Unlike the other two, The Power of Your Subconscious mind is nonfiction and completely psychology based. It’s written by Joseph Murphy, who was ordained in Divine Sciences and Religious Studies, he also had a Ph.D. in Psychology, so basically he knew what he was talking about. This book helps you understand the mind and also gives you ways to apply some of its knowledge into your life. It’s a great read and will help you become positive and learn a lot of new things about the human mind.
Well, my lovely people, that is all for the day. I hope you get some time to read and that you can garner inspiration out of these books. If you are going through something in life, remember- all is temporary, the pain will pass. Keep being strong and lovely.
