Roald Dahl: 3 Quotes That Teach Us Everything We Need To Learn

I know a lot of you love reading and have loved it as an entertaining activity since a very young age, and of course, you have all read Roald Dahl books. So have we, reading really does take us away to a whole different land. Reading is the best manner in which to open the mind and allow ourselves in a world that is fantasy but also extremely real.

Here is to Roald Dahl quotes that have become life lessons.

1. “If you are going to get anywhere in life you have to read a lot of books”

Yes, yes and yes! We have seen time and again how “not every reader is a leader but every leader is a reader” and we have heard all the successful people mention how they take out time to read. Reading as an activity is not only knowledgeable but therapeutic, it allows you to utilize your free time.A person who reads will know so much, and will also be very open-minded to the world. It opens doors to the unseen and the unknown, books are intangible mentors.

2. “Having power is not nearly as important and what you choose to do with it.”

What is the power that has gone in vain? What is having money if you can’t use it for a change? What is a voice that is not used to be vocal about the issues surrounding humanity? What is a dream that solely revolves around oneself? We consistently see that those with money and power are willing to give charity and speak out- Hillary Clinton, Michelle Obama, Sonia Gandhi, Blake Lively, Kim Kardashian West, Rihanna, Zendaya, Priyanka Chopra, and so many more names come to mind when one thinks of the positive use of power. Make sure you are doing better with what you have and really using it for the betterment of the world.

3. “Never do anything by halves if you want to get away with it. Be outrageous. Go the whole hog.”

Don’t set goals you cannot accomplish! Do not give up when there is a chance to keep going. Roald Dahl said it right, there is no point of doing things small. Go all the way. Be a little crazy about what you dream. Push yourself harder and harder each day. Remind yourself that the universe is yours to take. Don’t dream small, dream big. Be crazy, be outrageous, it will help you accomplish what you want. There’s no point in doing something you are not passionate about. Be passionate. Be very passionate.

About the author

I like to write about people and about myself. Sometimes anonymously and sometimes in full disclosure. What I want in life is to be the collective voice of women all over the world, and create the next generation of badass bitches. I like a bit of mystery. So, who am I? You might know, you might not. 1. Always been a fan of Roald Dahl! My fave quote of all time is from one of the classics, Matilda, “If you are good, life is good.”
I’m a strong believer of good karma and whatever that you do with/in your life, it will reflect your personality and the life you’re living 🙂
